Building decoupled informational web for the Czech government

The Czech Drupal community was approached by a member of the Czech Parliament to help build a new informational web to help fight the novel coronavirus. Drupal was selected over WordPress and proprietary solutions. Together with a team of freelance frontend developers, we had built a highly scalable solution running on Drupal and Gatsby.js. Right after launch, the site was visited by more than 4 million unique visitors, and nowadays it's the primary source of covid-information on the Czech internet.

At the end of this session, attendees will be able to compose the list of pros and cons of decoupled solutions. They will also be able to design an API the frontend developers will love and choose the correct hosting environment for a highly scalable platform.
